A clearer, more even-looking complexion with less visible sun damage and redness.
Brown spots and background redness can make otherwise healthy skin look uneven. BBL HEROic is Sciton’s advanced broadband pulsed-light platform. It treats selected pigment and vascular concerns without removing the entire skin surface.
Who it may suit
A treatment for your concern. Not everyone’s concern.
Adults noticing sun spots, freckles, diffuse redness or uneven tone. A skin examination comes first: melasma, a recent tan, and deeper skin tones require particular care and may call for a different treatment.
Where it may be used
Face, neck, chest and hands; other sun-exposed areas after assessment.

Understand the treatment
What happens beneath the surface?
Filters select bands of light that are absorbed by targets such as pigment and blood vessels. HEROic adds Intelligent Control and a Skin Positioning System to support pulse placement. This is light treatment, not a resurfacing laser, and there is no single fixed treatment depth.

What the drawing means
Selected pigment & vascular targets
Filtered pulsed light is absorbed by selected pigment and blood-vessel targets. The light drawing is conceptual; wavelength is not a fixed depth.
Redness and temporary pigment darkening; flaking may last 1–2 weeks.
Comfort
Brief hot or snapping sensations with cooling.
Results show
Tone changes over the following weeks; a series may be advised.
How long it lasts
Maintenance varies with sun exposure and ongoing skin care.
01
Before: review pigmentation, skin tone, tanning history and light-sensitive medications.
02
After: treated pigment may look darker before it flakes; do not pick it.
03
Maintain: daily broad-spectrum SPF and a tailored follow-up plan help protect improvements.
Honest expectations
What it cannot promise.
BBL does not fill volume loss, remove deep indented scars, or substitute for a surgical lift. “Clearer” does not mean every spot will disappear.
Common questions
Before you book.
BBL HEROic or HALO?+
BBL focuses on color and vascular targets. HALO creates microscopic resurfacing zones to address texture and other skin-quality concerns.
Can darker skin receive BBL?+
Some patients may be candidates, but the risk of pigment changes depends on skin type, tan and settings. We assess rather than promise universal suitability.
